Hunter's Lemon Pepper Garlic Seasoning on Lemon Pepper Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti

- 3 tablespoons olive oil

- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/3 cup chicken broth

- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

- 5 tablespoons of Hunter’s Lemon Pepper Garlic Seasoning

- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. Season the shrimp evenly with Hunter’s Lemon Pepper Garlic Seasoning and let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and fresh lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and stir until combined. If the sauce seems too thick, you can add a splash of the reserved pasta water to thin it out.
  7. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. If needed, add more reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  8. Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle with chopped basil or parsley. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

4 Tips for Cooking Shrimp Pasta

1. Use fresh ingredients: Fresh shrimp, garlic, and herbs can significantly enhance the flavor of your dish.

2. Don’t overcook the shrimp: Overcooked shrimp can become tough and rubbery. Cook just until they turn pink and opaque.

3. Balance acidity with lemon juice: Lemon juice adds brightness and acidity to shrimp pasta. Adjust the amount to your taste preference, but typically 2-3 tablespoons is a good starting point.

4. Incorporate pasta water: Adding reserved pasta water to the sauce can help achieve the desired consistency and bind the sauce to the pasta.
