Mustard Steak Marinade

Ingredients:

- 2 steaks (your choice of cut)

- ¼ cup Hunter’s Caribbean Mustard

- 8 tablespoons Hunter’s Texas Seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Place the steaks in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag
  2. Pour the Caribbean Mustard marinade over the steaks, making sure they are evenly coated. Massage the marinade into the steaks to ensure they are well covered.
  3. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. When ready to cook, preheat your pan or grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the steaks from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
  6. Season the steaks with Hunter’s Texas Seasoning evenly on both sides.
  7. Grill the steaks to your desired doneness, about 7-8 minutes per side for medium depending on the thickness of the steak.
  8. Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve the steaks hot, optionally with additional mustard on the side for dipping. Enjoy your delicious mustard-marinated steak!

Steak and Beef Temperature to Doneness:

  1. Rare:120-130°F (49-54°C) internal temperature. The steak will be red and cool in the center.
  2. Medium Rare:130-135°F (54-57°C) internal temperature. The center will be warm and red with a slightly firmer texture.
  3. Medium:140-145°F (60-63°C) internal temperature. The center will be pink and slightly hot, with some firmness.
  4. Medium Well: 150-160°F (66-71°C) internal temperature. The center will have a small amount of pinkness and will be hot with a firmer texture.
  5. Well Done: 160°F (71°C) and above internal temperature. The steak will be brown throughout, with little to no pinkness, and will be very firm.
